There are many question and answer about this, but I wasn't unable to find a solution.

Simple Service and Activity. In activity One button to connect and local binding to the service. Other button get a random number from MyService.

When I stop binding, stop service and press back button "IllegalStateException" occur. How to resolve this error?

  • Replace public class MainActivity extends ActionBarActivity with public class MainActivity extends Activity this is not solution but search will be conducted on this topic. I know it will work without Action Bar. – Ibrahim Disouki Apr 10 '15 at 9:56

Insdie public void onServiceButtonClicked(View view) remove this line
super.onStop();

Important : Unbind the service when the activity is stopped/destroyed.

Just change ActionBarActivity to Activity. Your code will run.
