Hey I'm just starting my first programming wallpaper so this should be an easy fix. Quite simply a mistake, but I still could not figure out this problem. Please help, thank you.

ViewPager.addOnPageListener was introduced with the revision 22.2 of the v4 support library. Update the gradle dependency of the support-v4 with

compile 'com.android.support:support-v4:22.2.0'

  • i already had declared the version "22.2.1" and still getting this error. Mar 21, 2016 at 9:41
  • yes, it is syncing. plus i run ">gradlew clean assemble " command and gradle build was succesfull. but when build project from build menu it still gives this error: cannot find symbol method addOnPageChangeListener(Fragment....) Mar 21, 2016 at 11:28
  • it is hard to say what's wrong without seeing the code. For instance, what's Fragment in this context? Is it implementing the correct interface ?

  • it is implementing ViewPager.OnPageChangeListener. I also tried with new ViewPager.OnPageChangeListener() but it did give the same error again. I really don't have any idea what's wrong. Mar 21, 2016 at 11:41
