I have just made a program in c# .net and I am now getting this error in a message box when I try and save it or debug it. This is the code that i have so far for my project. error code "Insufficient memory to continue the execution of the program" please help.

This issue occurs because the application creates a new bitmap cache on every invalidation update instead of updating the existing cache.

When the application invalidates the bitmap at a fast speed, memory resources may be exhausted, and then the exception occurs.

Unless you provide some more code to test/debug, this is all I could find related to your problem.

I know I am late to the party here. But I solved the problem with forcing build x64, with build x84 I had the same exception thrown in my program. Program is about image processing.

I took the main project and upgraded to a new version of .dotNet (Project, Project Properties, [Application], Target FrameWork -> .net Framework 4.8) / x86. After doing this, the ~error occurred.

I found several linked classes were on different frameworks.

Editing each of the linked classes (separately), and upgrading them to the same .dotNet, seemed to fix this problem. [I think] Confirm each is the same x86/x64.

Be sure to save each (class/tab), and close each.

Visual Studio will still crash with the ~error.

TaskManager Visual Studio, and kill the editor.
Re-load the project. After this, it behaved.

(From a comment above, I suppose just taskmanager/ending visual studio and re-launching might have fixed the problem -- but I did the steps above, which seemed reasonable.)
