I am trying to implement link list which supports almost all features as the C++ STL link list. I am experiencing errors while compiling this custom list of mine. The link list is defined in temp.hpp, and the tester program is listtest.cpp:

I am unable to figure out what causes these errors. This is my link class(node class):

    You might want to post a minimal example of the problem. People aren't compilers...

    cout<<it->get_val()<<" "; or cout<<(*it).get_val()<<" "; Dereference the iterator correctly. Commented Apr 5, 2016 at 21:14

listtest.cpp:24:12: error: ‘class mod::list::iterator’ has no member named ‘get_val’ cout<

You are trying to call a member function on the thing being pointed to by the iterator, but you tried to call it on the iterator itself. Try it->get_val instead of it.get_val.
