I want to know how to make a player jump only once till he hits the ground, just like in the most games. I tried this: swift - Jump only when landed, but it didn't really work for me because for whatever reason the player only jumped when I spammed tapping the screen and he only jumped like every 30 click. Here is how it looks like:

You need to play with gravity ;)

  • When i do "Player.Physicsbody!.affectedByGravity = false" then it works but the player jumps way to high because theres no gravity. Do you know how i can fix this so he is affected by gravity and it still works?

  • The problem is that i can't make a PlayerBaseline because i use Blocks in my game wich means the player will sometimes be higher and sometimes lower when you jump from Block to Block. Do you have a solution for that?

  • I know ! Each time the player collides with a block (when he is on a block), set that block as the playerBaseLine. Reassign the playerBaseLine to the position of the block each time the player lands/is on one.
