I have problem with this code, "cannot resolve method getMap(). I dont find where is the problem, please need help with code, I use Android Studio and need to take markers locations of mySQL with Json.

    googleMap = ((SupportMapFragment) getSupportFragmentManager().findFragmentById(R.id.googleMap)).getMap();`

getMap() method was depreciated but now after the play-services 9.2 update, it has been removed, so better use getMapAsync(). You can still use getMap() only if you are not willing to update the play-services to 9.2 for your app.

To use getMapAsync(), implement the OnMapReadyCallback interface on your activity or fragment:

Then, while initializing the map, use getMapAsync() instead of getMap():

getMap is deprecated use getMapAsync below way..

so change this to googleMap = ((SupportMapFragment) getSupportFragmentManager().findFragmentById(R.id.googleMap)).getMap(); to this googleMap = ((SupportMapFragment) getSupportFragmentManager().findFragmentById(R.id.googleMap)).getMapAsync();

  • In my opinion, you should delete the incorrect map = ...async part completely and just leave the "update" part as that is the correct part. Oct 12 '16 at 5:16

I have a problem with load Json now, "getMap" it deprecated and google said I have to use getMap(). How I can to fixed problem?
