I've been following the codepen example here and am hung up on the part in the legend where you can click a legend block to hide/show those points.

I've changed my code to this:

And I keep getting an error message

d3.js:685 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'classList' of null

State shows up but there is something wrong with the "else" part of the code.
