How do you automatically select all text on focus in WPF TextBoxes?

You can do it very easily by adding a global event handler to your application, Jonathan.

    That works for keyboard, but not if you want select all on mouse as well. It selects it all, then the mouse-up event unselects it. – Jonathan Allen Nov 12 '10 at 4:44

    That's kind of by-design in WPF. Usually if the user clicks on a TextBox it's to position the caret. Regardless, there's a comment at the bottom of my blog post that includes code to handle a mouse click too. Hope that helps. – Matt Hamilton Nov 12 '10 at 4:47

    When using DevExoress controls for WPF it's even easier ;) You can then just use the TextEditBase.SelectAllOnKeyboardFocus property for specific controls or more general in a style that you apply to the certain controls. – Bernoulli IT Aug 21 '13 at 14:20

Based on Judah Himango's answer for WinForms. This isn't perfect, but its works well enough to use.
