I can not figure out how to render a Three-js scene in a canvas on my index page. I have the basic template for the canvas and the basic template for the three-js scene. So how do I render the scene in my canvas?

  • I want to ask for a clarification about using canvas dom elements. When i go with WebGLRenderer( {canvas:canvas_id}) there is no problem but if i select that element with getElementById("canvas_id") and use it i get WebGL_draw_buffers not supported error what is the difference? You can specify an existing canvas via

var renderer = new THREE.WebGLRenderer( { canvas: artifactCanvas } );

  • @KScandrett Thank you got me on the right path. I now have the cube rendering in my canvas. I just have to adjust some sizes and I will be in business.
