I got fatal error in Swift 3 when call this code line:

let dummyAnnotations = getDummyAnnotations(centerLatitude: lat, centerLongitude: lon, delta: delta, count: count)

Seems that type of centerLatitude and centerLongitude cannot be converted to Double properly.

    DO NOT USE FORCE UNWRAPPING EVERYWHERE! It meant to be used with caution, and only in places when you know that it isn't optional, but have no way to say it to compiler. – user28434 Mar 15 '17 at 14:14

    @user1188849 That's not the problem. The problem is that you're using !, which force-unwraps optionals without checking for nil. You need to fix that. – Tom Harrington Mar 15 '17 at 14:26

    Are you sure the error happens on the getDummyAnnotations line? I reckon it actually happens on self.userLocation!.coordinate.latitude, in which case self.userLocation is nil. Please have a read through of What does “fatal error: unexpectedly found nil while unwrapping an Optional value” mean?. – Hamish Mar 15 '17 at 14:28

Don't force unwrap optionals, instead check first to make sure it has a value... see below:

if(self.userLocation != nil) { // this check will ensure you only execute code when self.userLocation has a value - this way force unwrapping it will be safe
