This error comes when I run catkin_make command in catkin_ws directory. I think there are problems in off_node.ccp file as first error appears which is related to cpp file and leads to further error messages, which I am not able to debug. I added off_node.ccp programme below error message.

You are Looking At Wrong Documentation probably cause in kinetic doc:

mavros_msgs::SetMode has no success in response instead there's mode_sent

Looking at the documentation for mavros_msgs/SetMode, it seems that the field you are trying to access is directly contained within the SetMode service. Try changing the following:

offb_set_mode.response.success

to

offb_set_mode.success

  • The service message is split into a "request" and a "response" part. The success field is part of the response, so in general OP is doing it correctly. The reason for the error is most likely because the name of the field changed (see answer of Mohammad Ali). – luator Feb 9 '18 at 8:16
