I have recently setup a developer license and attempted to deploy an Alpha release of a new Android app I have been developing.

I have completed all of the necessary sections including Store listing, Content rating and Pricing & distribution. All three have the green check-marks next to them which to my understanding means the Alpha is ready to deploy.

From what I have read elsewhere online, I should be allowed to start my roll-out to Alpha. I recently setup the account but Google Play Console claims the payment was successful as well so I do not believe that is the issue.

Does anyone know why I can't roll-out my app to Alpha?

Do you have more than one user attached to your developer account? If the logged in user you are using is not the account owner, have you given that user appropriate permissions?

  • Only one user, purchased the licence and setup the account the day before running into this situation. – dFrancisco Mar 12 '18 at 17:48
  • Then you should contact the Play developer support through the help link on the Play console. They will have access to your specific app and are very good and helpful. – Nick Fortescue Mar 12 '18 at 18:45
