I am using AuditTrail for logging but I have problem. I tried this method ;

But I don't delete record for delete operations. I have 'IsDeleted' column and set this column true.

If I use EntityState.Modified in my ActionResult, my 'Action' column value set 'U' but I want to set'D' in database.

  • You are setting audit.Actions = AuditActions.U.ToString(); in your else if (entry.State == EntityState.Modified) block. You would need to add an additional check to determine if the IsDeleted property is true, and if so, set audit.Actions = AuditActions.D.ToString(); – user3559349 May 2 '18 at 13:05

  • Based on the code in your other methods, probably something like var newVal = entry.CurrentValues["IsDeleted"]; and check if its true – user3559349 May 2 '18 at 13:20
