I set 3 processes/cores to parallel compute p. After that, I want to multiply the data one process by one process and sum them up finally, i.e. do p(rank==0) * p(rank==1) + p(rank==0) * p(rank==2) + p(rank==1) * p(rank==2). since I don't know the storage way after MPI_Allgather, the results seem to be wrong. Can anybody help to see how to deal with it in question mark place?

  • First, your arrays must be allocated in contiguous memory. Then, the size of buffer is NP times the size of p. – Gilles Gouaillardet Aug 9 at 18:25
