I am trying to make the background colour of my program to be #ff8080. But I get issues where some places do not get filled in with that colour. I am also trying to allign my exit button to the center when clicking on Arithmetic or Geometric.

Also when I click on Arithmatic or Geometric buttons it opens a new window. Any way to make it so that on clicking those buttons it stays on the same window and changes to what is in the arithmatic code section?

To fix the background color problem, you'll want to change the background of the Frame objects. Additionally, there is an issue when using ttk.Frame. Instead, try the following:

inputFrame = tk.Frame(root, bg='#ff8080')  # Add "tk." prefix to Frame(), and set color
inputFrame.grid()

To change alignment of the buttons, take a look at the grid layout. If you want it to look like this button layout, change the grid layout options to this:

Regarding the buttons creating new windows, you'll need to change your program quite a bit. The reason why it is opening the new window is because you are creating a new Tk() object in the arith() and geo() methods.

This is personal preference, but I think an easier option while getting a feel for Tkinter would be to use a tabbed ttk.Notebook for creating different sections of the GUI.
