I have a dataset, gl, and I want to produce a second data set, gl2, with an equation that draws from gl. However, it only stores the last value from my loop.

The output, which I hoped to be a new column for gl2 with the result of the equation (mload) as it runs through each row, is instead a single value in the last row of column 1. I know this is not efficient code, but this is how I understand it. I have spent days playing with it and have found no solution, nor do I understand why it isn't working. Thanks.

    Do for (i in 1:nrow(gl)), as is now, i only takes one value: the number of rows in gl – R. Schifini Sep 14 at 3:14
