I have a kafka logback appender, which contains a base logback.xml to push the log events to kafka. I created this kafka logback appender as a spring boot starter application so that i can add this jar to any client application and push the log events to the kafka topic defined in client application.properties.

Components: 1) kafka-logback-starter 2) Client application

In kafka-logback-starter, I am reading application properties from client application.

Here is my configuration:

1) Added spring.factories in kafka-logback-starter

I see @Autowired is getting called after addProducerConfig method is executed hence application properties values are not available in addProducerConfig.

How do i ensure that @Autowired is being called before any methods gets executed on KafkaAppenderConfig?

NOTE: KafkaAppenderConfig is an abstract class.

you can implement InitializingBean, and call your producer config in afterPropertiesSet
