I cmake a project and want to get numpy array in C++ project. I can get the right nums but it reports read access violation. Here is my python code named main.py

I've encountered the same error message and just managed to fix it almost by accident.

Summary: It seems to be caused by a PyObject* having an incorrect ref count. The PyObjects in use at the time of the error are not necessarily the objects with incorrect ref counts! Reading https://docs.python.org/3/c-api/intro.html#objects-types-and-reference-counts may help if you haven't already.

In my case, my C++ was reading items from a PyObject list obtained from a python function. However, when reading these items from the list their refcount wasn't being incremented because I was calling PyList_GetItem() instead of PySequence_GetItem(). This was a right pain to debug because the error was being thrown from a completely unrelated section of code running PyObject_CallFunction().
