Trying to find a way to have an image inside a circle in D3.

The img was loaded into the DOM, but I could not get it to render within the circle.

Main point is to have a picture placed on top so the circles background colour must be as it is (colour coding purpose).

What am I doing wrong here?

D3 code is almost fine, but suffers from a hierarchy of SVG elements. It seems that it should be in this order:
