I can't seem to identify what is causing this really strange interaction with QPropertyAnimation and setVisible()

I have tried using .show() and .hide(). I get the same results.

Trying to create a collapsing group box that can be toggled to collapse and un-collapse. Collapsing works great

just as I intended, however, uncollapsing is really strange and finishes as such

If I leave off the fading in and out, things work great, but thats not the effect I'm wanting to go for. Wanting to have the child object to fade out, as the parent object is collapsing, and vice versa.

Any help pinpointing this is greatly appreciated.
