I would like to sum (and average) across each simulation e.g. if simulation 1 has 7 events those values should be summed together.

I'd like list of the sum in each simulation:
e.g. the sum of `simulation[[1]]`

will be:

```

if freq returns 7 in the first simulation.

`lapply`

so why wouldn't`lapply(x, sum)`
