I have a netCDF file "VWC_95percentile_by_seasons.nc". It contains three dimensions seasons (DJF, JJA, MAM, SON), latitude and longitude and the variable name is VWC 95TH PERCENTILE.

The variable is printed out as below:

I will need to draw one plot for each season on a single figure. Each plot will need to be masked from the ocean areas.

How can I mask out all ocean areas using xarray, numpy and Basemap?
