`Hello, I have installed OpenCV on the Raspberry a couple of times. However, since everything is constantly evolving (OS, libraries, etc...). This time I am getting the following error:

  identification.

I tried the following script:

    sudo apt-get upgrade
    sudo apt-get install -y build-essential cmake pkg-config
    sudo apt-get install -y libjpeg-dev libtiff5-dev libjasper-dev libpng12-dev
    sudo apt-get install -y libavcodec-dev libavformat-dev libswscale-dev libv4l-dev

I expected the library to be compiled correctly, however, this is what the console shows:

Any help would be highly appreciated. I will backup and upload the image after compiling for the mental health of many people.

I tried many things and solved the problem. The image of Raspbian Stretch + OpenCV 4 can be found here:

I have also been running into this error and was able to solve it using the following steps:

  1. navigate to your OpenCV directory (running cd .. from your build directory).

  2. run the following command:

    python ./modules/python/src2/gen2.py ./build/modules/python_bindings_generator ./build/modules/python_bindings_generator/headers.txt`
    
  3. navigate back into your build directory and run sudo make install once more

It should work this time assuming you ran your cmake command from your build directory.
