I have two DataArray objects on xarray, named da_ffdi and rio.

In rio, y and x indicate latitude and longitude respectively.

What I want to achieve is to resample rio by applying the latitude and longitude coordinates of da_ffdi to the y and x coordinate of rio. The resampling method will be "nearest". Also "y" needs to be renamed by "latitude" and "x" to be renamed by "longitude".

So the resulted rio object will be:

I need some direction on what steps to walk through as well as what built-in functions of xarray I will need to use.

  • I'm fairly sure xarray objects are just comprised entirely of lists, so you should be able to just do standard list manipulation if you don't find a built in xarray utility to do so. – Recessive May 16 at 6:54
