Hi I have been struggling with this piece of code for a while now. Its kinda messy but I will end up cleaning it so bear with me. The code is supposed to simulate the movement of a ship to start with but I cannot get it to work properly. Im using the collective function Broadcast in a loop but it only works for the first two iterations of the for loop Ill give an output from slurm along with the code. Thanks in advance.

    all the ranks must call MPI_Bcast() with the same root argument. When asking a question, please at least include your mpirun command line and a brief description of what is not working as expected. – Gilles Gouaillardet Dec 4 at 0:37
  • Sorry if the explanation was to undescriptive. The message passing from bcast is not passing the variable from the if statement as I would like. As I assign the Port variable as a start and then move on to randomly assigning a new rank to it each iteration. – ICESpartan Dec 4 at 10:42
