I get all the employee, user, domains, tenants info connected with lots of images. So very slow ... for only 1 row in EmployeeLog I get:

If I create an interface or a DTO and select just those fields. It works: I don't get nothing extra.

But I need to do this for most of the entities ...

Is there a way to indicate lazy load in the entity?

Or some simple way to indicate the fields I want and those I don't want without the need to do DTO to all the entities?

  • Besides the Jackson annotations (e.g. javaguides.net/2019/04/…) and outsorcing Blobs to additional entities (like in blog.ippon.tech/…) I would perhaps try to expand the entities with DTOs. But I am interested in an answer of somebody knowing it better than me, too! – Jochen Gebsattel Jan 30 at 22:38

  • Thanks @Jochen Gebsattel & crizzis, I tried the JsonIgnoreProperties, but didn't do much.... It's working now with the pom change indicated below. Can you tell me if is working also for you? – Inês Gomes Jan 31 at 18:46
