I have data in PersonalDetails table in JSON format, I am trying to parse the data in a single query, currently I am using JSON_TABLE functions, in my query I am only able to parse only one column, if I try to use JSON_TABLE functions twice it throwing me an error, is their a way to parse all the columns in a single query? or is their any other function apart from JSON_TABLE?

You could use the NESTED clause:

    @Nik This is a better approach as you need less code and flat query to get the desired output compared to addressing each column with PATH '$.COLUMN. Commented Apr 10, 2020 at 15:47
  • NESTED is also better because it can handle also an array of sample data (use JSON_TABLE(data, '$[*]' instead of JSON_TABLE(data, '$') and if there were an array of objects as value of ContactDetail instead of one object (use NESTED PATH '$.ContactDetails[*]' instead NESTED ContactDetails) - this would flatten the results - a row for each ContactDetails. And NESTED could used even nested for more nested json structure. Commented Dec 9, 2023 at 10:10
  • Attention: a missing comma in json provokes no ORACLE error!!! (ORACLE just ignores following json values!) - at least found for missing comma between objects in an array. Commented Dec 9, 2023 at 10:11
