is material ui for react application is free. We are planning to use it in our application but before that need to check for any licensing issue. Thanks in advance for help.

It is, as their MIT License says, even for commercial use, if that is what you are asking.
Until recently, it has been free, however, with v5 release, some things changed.
It looks like v5 core is free. Some new components, like DataGrid are not: https://mui.com/pricing/
