Of a, b, and c below, I cannot pass a as the argument to d. This forces me to use either a concrete type, or, wrap the generic type in a concrete type.

This occurs with --strictFunctionTypes and looks to be similar to this question but still I cannot determine what can be done to appease the type checker outside the work-arounds of;

  • // @ts-ignore
  • Wrapping in a concrete type
  • Turning off strictFunctionTypes

How can I help the compiler infer the correct type here?
