I am trying to connect to Jhipster Websocket throught "only" Stomp but I am only able to connect to the Websocket when using SockJS with Stomp. before anything I have to say I was able to connect to Stomp without SockJS using normal Spring framework project. However, when using Jhipster, I get the following errors from browsers:

Firefox:

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at ws://127.0.0.1:8080/websocket.

WebSocket connection to 'ws://127.0.0.1:8080/websocket' failed: Error during WebSocket handshake: Unexpected response code: 200

I have to say, whenever I use withSockJS() in WebsocketConfiguration class and change client to stomp.over(sockjs), it works perfectly fine. whenever I use stomp without sockjs, that's where the problem comes in. I get no errors on the server side as to why the connection is not happening. As a matter of fact I don't get anything. It's like the client cannot even find the websocket endpoint.

what I assume is that since chrome browser claims that there is no handshake between client and server and the only thing that changes when switching from stomp.over(sockejs) to stomp.client(url) is the fact that the url used in sockjs is http://localhost:8080/websocket and the one used in stomp is ws://localhost:8080/websocket which is different only in the protocol identifier. So I assume that Jhipster does not allow ws:// as protocol identifier, but I maybe wrong. can anybody please release me of this nightmare. thank you.
