GNAT Community 2020. Trying to compile a bog standard introductory piece of code:

-- hello_world.adb

with Ada.Text_IO; use Ada.Text_IO;

procedure hello_world is
begin
   Put(¨Hello WORLD!!¨);
   Put(¨A great day¨);
   New_Line;
end hello_world;

but I get errors when I try to compile:

C:\WORKAREA\Ada>gnatmake -g hello_world.adb
gcc -c -g hello_world.adb
hello_world.adb:7:08: illegal character
hello_world.adb:8:08: illegal character
gnatmake: "hello_world.adb" compilation error

Can anyone throw any light on this - please?
