PencilKit lasso tool does not focus on the pasted stroke

Question

I am trying to use the PencilKit to build a note App. One of the issue I had was that if I use the lasso tool to select and copy a stroke, and pasted the stroke that I copied, the lasso tool focuses on the original stroke instead of the newly pasted one. Wondering if anyone have the same issue, and how can I solve it? demo gif image
