I’m reaching out for guidance after experiencing a permanent block of my WhatsApp Business Manager account. Despite a review by the Meta team, I can no longer access my account. The reason provided was non-compliance with the commerce policy, but I was strictly using the account for testing purposes to familiarize myself with the API.
Here’s the situation:
I was testing the WhatsApp Business API using Postman with my own phone number in Pakistan. The test number provided to me is now inaccessible, and I can’t even add my own business number, as my access seems to be permanently blocked. My concern is that I am currently working on a freelance project for a client with a legitimate business account. If I follow the same process with their real business number and setup, could they face the same risk of being permanently banned? I only created a few templates on my account, which may not have aligned perfectly with the guidelines.
I’m particularly worried about the potential consequences for my client. A ban could result in losing access to their business number and important conversations with affiliates and customers, which would be a significant setback.
Unfortunately, the Meta team has been unresponsive in providing assistance. I would appreciate any advice or insights on how to proceed without risking my client's account. How can I avoid the issues I faced, and what best practices should I follow to ensure compliance?
