I lead the Software Engineering organization of 70+ engineers across five design centers in the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the US.

Managed a team of engineers producing firmware, including BIOS, OS drivers and system support code, for our embedded computing products.

Implemented a highly-available Voice over IP (SIP) softswitch for a small local ISP. This involved combining open source technologies with proprietary packages and custom built interface and control software.
Designed and implemented supporting systems for the softswitch including local database storage for billing and customer records, backend interface software coupling this to the external website and live system
Deployed a system to allow seamless changeover between live and backup systems along with a real time monitoring solution to provide a high available solution.
Part of a team that designed, implemented, and supported a new programming language for describing telco protocols. This language allow products to decode or encode protocols for use in other applications.
Provided training in use and development of new protocol language and legacy software to local and remote offices, including time on site with engineers in China.
Supported and developed legacy network monitoring platforms, including implementing software to directly decode a wide range of communications protocols for use throughout the rest of the system.
