I currently work as a full-stack developer for Jitbug Limited, a small NZ based company, helping to make life simpler for relieve teachers in early childhood education. I also freelance as a web developer now and then, mostly creating websites, and I'm slowly getting more involved in the OSS world. I am part of Equippers Church. I'm excited about the future of self-driving and flying cars and got a master's degree in automotive software engineering.

Multidisciplinary studies in informatics (programming, image processing, remote sensing, stereo images), electronics (mechatronics, electric networks, power systems, batteries) and engineering (engines, control systems engineering).

Computer Vision Project: Sensor data fusion of camera and lidar data; the goal was to create an improved mapping of the surroundings of a prototype car by merging the results of two slam algorithms (icp slam for the lidar sensor and orb slam for the camera).

Automated Driving Project: Development of a model car that was able to drive automatically in order to take part in a contest (carolo cup); the car was build with an Arduino attached as a controller and controlled by a mini-pc (Intel NUC board) that runs the framework ADTF to process a camera image and other sensor data and to navigate the car; I was one of the two team leaders.

I was part of a team working on image processing for advanced driver assistance systems. The task for my master thesis was to do an image segmentation of video streams and then a classification (random forests) of the image segments for free-space detection in real-time. Different segmentation algorithms were used and compared.
