I have a keen interest in code generation. Because I have a hypothesis. I figure at some point, despite all of the chaos in the early days of software development (the now), that we should all eventually reach a consensus--all of the good algorithms will have been decided. If that day comes, we won't need to write so much code; merely choose a pattern and run with it. Plus I think it would be very cool to "write" software using augmented reality. We'd definitely need code generators to do that.
