I'm not a professional developer but a physics student.

However one of the most interesting parts of doing physics in the lab is, to teach the computer how to do the experiments for you. Without automation, many of the experiments we are doing would either take incredibly long or would not be possible at all.

By not only writing code for my own experiments but also libraries and GUIs for other experiments, i was able to develop different levels of experience with c++, git, Qt, cmake, Mathematica, Javascript and Python.
