The workflow runner simplifies using the Galaxy API. Our main use case is enabling tranSMART users to run Galaxy workflows. The component is usable with other systems (even different workflow engines), is written in Java, and uses the blend4j library for accessing Galaxy servers.

This project was started at VU University Medical Center (VUmc) and continued at The Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI). I transferred from VUmc to NKI as part of the group of prof. Gerrit Meijer.
